Missing the Rain, still

Still not a drop of rain in the sky... So sad.
I really don't like summer. I mean, yeah there's no school and that's nice, but it's so hot and this year it's unusually dry. There's still enough water to be humid. I bet that makes the farmers happy. "Oh yeah, we get to work in all this heat and humidity, but no rain. Figures. I should've been a lawyer."
Yeah, and they can sue the sky for not sending any rain!! Hooray!

Hanging Out

Hello there! I'm thinking of working on my photography again today, because I'm not very good at photography. I kind of wish I went to a school that had photography class.
Do bigger schools have photography class?
I've never really been to a big school, but it sounds nice, much nicer than the small-town schools where everybody knows everybody. In a big school I bet it'd be easier to blend in, and I bet when you walk down the street people don't call your name as you pass, people you don't even really know... Well, I think I'm going to stop talking about school because it's summer and I don't want to be the person who dwells on events of the past. Especially the unpleasant events.
So I guess I'm going to go and decide what I'd rather do today: climb a tree and read in it, or take a bunch of pictures. Seeya later! (Alligator)

Books and Stuff I

I recently reread the book Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli. He's a fantastic author, judging by the two books of his that I've read, so far. They are Stargirl and Wringer. I'm planning to start in on Maniac Magee (did I spell that right?) tomorrow.

I warned you about the book thing. I love reading. Does anyone have any good books? I really don't like mystery and I'm looking for teen fiction. My favorite genres are:
1. Fantasy
2. General Fiction

...That's really most of what I read. The rest is generally science fiction and stuff. (Yes, I'm aware of how dorky that is.)

So my question is, do you have any suggestions as to good books?

Introductions

Hi! I'm Rain Girl. I'm going to talk about my summer, so be prepared to hear about how dry it's been lately and a lot of books.
Okay, I'll be the first to admit that sounds really boring, but I swear it's not as bad as it seems. It's not going to be a monotonous season, that's for sure.
In less than a week I'm leaving for our band trip to DC and I won't be able to post for a while, but I'll take a lot of pictures and post them. No promises they'll be amazing works of art, but I'll do my best :)
I really like to hear interesting words, like ethereal and recondite. Got any favorite or long words to share?
